Book Review: Which Shape Should I Be by Pamela Kennedy

Which Shape Should I Be by Pamela Kennedy is a funny book teaching shapes with beautiful illustrations by Holiday Conger. It consisted of 22 pages or 11 2page spreads. Each page spread has a rhyme about the shape and then a picture to find the shape. The rhyme that my daughter is looking at in the picture is about a heart. It says “Mom and I cut cookies shaped like hearts to have with tea. Pretend to eat the cookies made the way ours would be” On the opposite page there is a girl with a cookie tray with three cookies. One cookie is a heart, the second isn’t a circle and the third cookie is a star. My two year old likes pointing to the different shapes in this board book.

I highly recommend this book for any young child learning shapes or needing a book to build their reading confidence and fluency.

I am a seeker of Jesus, wife of Tim, homeschooling mom of six. I created Doodles in the Margin as a place for everything that I do while being a seeker or Jesus, a wife and a mom. I love to read and learn. I found the joy of reviewing books. This blog is where I have my book and curriculum reviews as well as things the the LORD has revealed to me to share. I love to learn about God and help others grow in their relationship with God by talking about the books that I have read. I spend a lot of time sharing with other parents what works for my kids in our homeschooling journey. I started Doodles in the Margin to share the home school resources that I have created. Right now I have my resources available on my Teachers Pay Teachers store. I started Overwhelmed Dreamer to share the notes that I have taken along my journey with Biblical dream interpretation. Songs by Jano is my podcast that I set up to share the music that I wrote. I also like to edit books, sew, decorate cakes, and make pinatas along with many other things including graphic design and designing websites. More information can be found on the links in the menu.
