Discernment by Jane Hamon is a must have for anyone wanting to grow in their ability to discern the spiritual and understand the things that God is showing us in this day and age. Jane Hamon uses personal experiences and stories to draw the reader into the concepts and how they still take place today. The book begins with explaining how to hear the voice of God. The rest of the book goes through various things that we need to discern today like the times, anointing, hearts, to lead, to build, the Spirit of God, angels, demons, the human heart, spiritual warfare, intercession and strongholds. The book ends with explaining how to have eyes to see and ears to hear. I enjoyed reading this book. I like how the author continually backs up what she is saying with scripture. I love how descriptive this book is. There is so much to gleam on with many activation activities that you could easily turn this book into a group study. I love the personal stories shared throughout this book. My favorite chapters are the chapters about discerning angels, discerning demons because of the testimonies in these chapters. I liked the chapters about discerning and identifying strongholds because of the detail in the definitions of each of the different characteristics of spiritual strongholds. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to grow in their spiritual discernment either as an individual or in a group setting.
